#WhattaDay!™️ has learned that former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega (real name Thea Trinidad) has signed on with a new company that prevents her from wrestling or appearing with All Elite Wrestling. Wrestling Insider Dave Meltzer noted on his latest column say:
“Trinidad has signed a deal, we don’t know with who or even that it’s with a wrestling promotion, but the deal she signed would not allow her to work for another wrestling company and it was not with AEW. It was a somewhat short-term thing and the door wasn’t shut on her eventually working with AEW but it won’t be any time imminently.”
Thea Trinidad was released in November of 2020 following a disagreement with the company over her relationship with third party streaming services such as Twitch where she is extremely popular.
Trinidad joined WWE in 2017, where she appeared alongside Andrade “Cien” Almas. She performed as Andrade’s manager during his NXT Championship success on the black and gold brand, and remained by his side as he joined the main roster.
