SummerSlam In Boston Looking More Unlikely

Even though the WWE has not chosen a venue for this years SummerSlam in August, Boston, MA is heavily favored to host this summers biggest PPV. However, with yesterday’s news of the States guidelines on reopening this might possibly eliminate Boston, MA from hosting the event. Yesterday, MA Governor Charlie Baker announced new reopening guidelines for the Nay State that include masks no longer needed outside and sporting venues to return to full capacity by August 1st. Meaning TD Garden could be given the green light for SS. That is until acting Mayor of Boston Kim Janey told the media that Boston will delay its reopening plans by three weeks. Meaning August 23rd would be the formal date that Boston venues such as TD Garden and Fenway Park would be allowed to open in full capacity. Depending on which dates the WWE uses there is still a chance that Boston or another MA venue could host Summerslam. There is always the DCU Center in Worcester, MA (site of Mick Foleys WWF Title Win back in 1999) or possibly Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA which is a few miles south of Boston and of course home to the New England Patriots. The WWE is expected to announce its SummerSlam location soon. Story Developing
