Daniel Bryan’s Status Is Unknown

Daniel Bryan has has not been seen on WWE programming since April 30th when he lost to Universal Champion Roman Reigns on Smackdown. Since then it has been revealed that Bryan’s contract expired at midnight the night of the match. Bryan has been vocal on venturing out on his own to other companies and rumors surrounding his next move remain tight lipped. Word around WWE is that not even Vince McMahon knows what’s next for the former World Champion. Some sources speculated that he may end up with NXT, but since that news broke the company as well as the sources have not mentioned Daniel Bryan in their conversations. To make matters more interesting, the mere mention of Bryan’s name by other superstars have the company editing out those comments when it comes time to air those posts. WhattaDay has reached out to the WWE for comment and have received this response – “at this time we are not at liberty to discuss employees status’ with the company.” Which is almost as good as a “no comment” in today’s industry standards. But conspiracy theories may suggest that he is most likely to sign elsewhere. Where that may be would be anyone’s guess. NXT is certainly a place that Daniel could end up. WhattaDay’s guess is that he is in the midst of serious contract negotiations with the WWE which would allow him the freedom to be at home more with his wife, Brie Bella and his kids as well as remain with the company in some fashion or another.
